THE GOLF CLUB AT TERRA LAGO
The Golf Club at Terra Lago (formerly the Landmark Golf Club) was established in 1998 and played host to the 1999 – 2002 PGA Tour Skins game, hosting the likes of Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Vijay Sing, Fred Couples, Greg Norman, among others. The Golf Club at Terra Lago presents 36 challenging holes (North Course and South Course) the North Course features dramatic elevation changes, stunning views, and a beautiful and challenging island green par 3 which was a featured hole during the Skins Games played at The Golf Club at Terra Lago.
The view from the 7th tee box is considered one of the best in the valley, from there you have a complete panoramic view from one end of the Coachella Valley to the other. Located just off I-10 in Indio, The Golf Club at Terra Lago is just a short drive from downtown Palm Springs and just down the street from the Fantasy Springs hotel and Casino. The recently constructed Worldmark Resort Indio is located just off of the 18th fairway of the North Course and is within walking distance of the clubhouse.
THE SKINS GAME AT TERRA LAGO
 The Golf Club at Terra Lago played host to the 1999 – 2002 PGA Tour Skins game, hosting the likes of Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Vijay Singh, Fred Couples, Greg Norman, among others. In 1999 Fred Couples outlasted Mark O’Meara, Sergio Garcia, and and David Duval earning his 3rd Skins Game title and $635,000. In 2000 Colin Montgomerie became the first international player to win the Skins Game earning $415,000 defeating runner up Vijay Singh, Sergio Garcia, and the previous years champion Fred Couples.
 In 2001 the Skins Game adopted a new format that required players to validate their skins by making no worse than par on the next hole. However if another player were to birdie that next hole they would “steal” the skin if the player attempting to validate did not make birdie as well. This lead to a dramatic back and forth which ended in a playoff victory for Australian Greg Norman who earned all 18 skins and $1,000,000 in skins money, defeating Jesper Parnevik, defending champion Colin Montgomerie, and an up and coming young pro named Tiger Woods.
 The final Skins Game held at The Golf Club at Terra Lago hosted perhaps it’s best field since the days of Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, and Lee Trevino. The class of 2002 included Tiger Woods, Phil Mickleson, Fred Couples (Mr. Skins Game), and Mark O’Meara. Despite facing the two hottest young players on tour Woods and Mickelson as well as the all time money winner in Skins Game history, Mark O’Meara shot a back nine 31 to win 8 skins and $405,000.
The Skins Game is a Thanksgiving weekend tradition in the Palm Springs desert and The Golf Club at Terra Lago is a proud supporter of this golf tradition.
